Editing Services:

Beta-Reading

Consultation of story development, execution, and pacing, and proofreading services. I will personally work with you to develop your story or give advice no matter what stage it’s in (first draft to final draft). I’ll give personalized feedback and possibly outline different ways to achieve the style/vibe/tone/goal you’re going for.

Details/Disclaimer: Due to my schedule, this particular service will be condensed in 1-3 sessions, but the amount of feedback given will depend on the length of the project requesting the service. This means, if the project is a short work (~1000 words), I will give detailed feedback up to 3 times with each revision. However, if the project is a long piece (10,000+ words), it will be given detailed feedback once, but the remaining sessions will revolve around advice and answering any questions you may have. Each message from me, regardless of length of project, will contain in-depth and thorough feedback and/or advice outlining the positives and concerns found in your story.

$3 per page / $60 per 25 pages / $250 per 100 per pages

Timeline: 3-45 business days

Proofreading

Strictly reading for grammar, punctuation, spelling, tense-agreement, and research-based accuracy (if applicable). This is the final pair of eyes for your completed project before publishing.

Details/Disclaimer: The sole job of a proofreader is to guarantee the work is clean and looks professional. Content, development, or story-based consistency is beyond the job of a proofreader. Please ensure your work is written as desired, structured properly, and there are no loose ends before requesting a proofread.

If you’re interested in publishing your work on Smashwords, but aren’t confident in executing their style guide, then have no worries! I’ll format your manuscript for you so it’s ready to publish on Smashwords with just a click of a button.

Fiction Manuscript Formatting

Every publishing or distribution company have their own rules for formatting fiction manuscripts, but there is a common format many U.S.-based companies and writing contests accept which I can do for you if you’re not confident in fulfilling it yourself.

Details: I format fiction manuscripts for general purposes, which may or may not align with the rules of a particular publishing/distribution/contest you’re intending to submit to. Keep in mind that not all companies/contests accept the same format. Do your research before sending in a request or submitting to another party.

Graphic Design Services:

Simply Stunning Fiction Book Covers (1 Revision)

Need a simple, but beautiful cover for your fiction book that will attract a reader’s interest, but not scream “Dramatic much?” Give me a description of what you’re looking for, and I’ll make it happen! Delivered in two files: JPEG and PNG. Check out the gallery to see only a few examples of simply stunning book covers I can do!

Details: No images required, though you are welcomed to provide me with any you absolutely have to have. Default fiction book cover is 1,600 pixels wide by 2,400 pixels tall, which is acceptable by most online publishers. If you wish to have different dimensions, feel free to include them in your email.

Also, please give me a description of your ideal cover that I can work with. Anything too vague OR too particular will likely lead to an unsatisfactory result for both of us.

Disclaimer: Any images provided to me for the book cover MUST be your own or stock images. No nudity, vulgar/racist/sexist subject matter, or advertisements allowed. Chance for revision MUST be requested within 48 hours of the original file’s completion, otherwise, you forfeit the revision token. All files will be destroyed within 72 hours after completion, so save your files.

$25 with 1 Chance to Revise

The Process (Please Read):

- Email me at me@starlightpages.com with the description of the service you desire and any deadline(s) I should know about.
- I will send the first reply within 48 business hours.
  - For all Editing/Formatting Services: I will first send a non-disclosure agreement for you to sign. Once signed, I will request the document in question that needs work in order to provide accurate pricing. From there, you’ll receive an invoice with a quote for the requested task(s). This process is to protect both you and me.
  - For all Graphic Design Services: If there are any questions I may have about the design you requested that was not clear in the form, I will ask for clarity in the first reply. Otherwise, I will send an invoice for the requested service.
- Once terms are settled and payment has been received, I will send an approximate start and completion date for your service.
- If you have any questions, feel free to reply to our emails at any time, but please respect my time and workload and try not to add on a service or major details after the approximate Start date has passed.
  - Any added service will require additional payment, and the start date may be delayed until payment is received.
- Please note that any works received cannot be returned. They will be destroyed after 72 hours of the project’s completion date.
- If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the email as well. I am happy to assist!

Cancellation/Refund Policy (Please Read):

- If cancellation is requested prior to the projected start date I had given, you will receive a full refund.
  - Example: Let’s say it’s March 1st. If I say the projected Start Date of your project is March 3rd, and you cancel the service either on March 1st or March 2nd, you will get a full refund.
- If cancellation is requested by 23:59 EST of the projected start date I had given, you will be given a partial refund of 50%.
  - Example: Let’s say it’s March 1st. If I say the projected Start Date of your project is March 3rd, and you cancel on March 3rd before 23:59 EST, you will get a partial refund of 50% of the total price.
- If cancellation is requested after 23:59 EST of the projected Start Date I had given, no refund will be given.
  - Example: Let’s say it’s March 1st. If I say the projected Start Date of your project is March 3rd, and you cancel on March 4th or after, you will not receive a refund.

Please understand that due to the time and effort put into your personalized request(s), no refunds will be given outside of cancellations.
